Project description

The restoration project for the fountain entails targeted interventions to completely restore the legibility of the monumental profiles. More specifically, both fountains will undergo the following procedures:

  • preliminary tightness inspection of added or pivoted parts: a preliminary verification will be carried out to assess the tightness of any added or pivoted parts, such as decorations or structural elements;
  • surface reinforcement: the fountain’s surfaces will be subject to consolidation interventions, including the application of specific products to improve stability and ensure long-term durability;
  • disinfection and disinfestation: measures will be taken to eliminate unwanted organisms, including bacteria, algae or insects, which could damage the fountain or compromise its appearance;
  • surface cleaning and limestone removal: cleaning interventions will be performed on the fountain’s surfaces to remove accumulated dirt, limescale and limestone;
  • plastering inspection: the fountain will undergo a verification of its plastering, with possible restoration or replacement actions taken to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic harmony;
  • aesthetic presentation: interventions will be carried out to enhance the overall appearance of the fountain, ensuring its beauty and harmony of form;
  • final protection of surfaces and anti-graffiti coating: protective treatments will be applied over to the surfaces of the fountain to preserve them against weather and wear. In addition, an anti-graffiti coating will also be applied where required;
  • cleaning and antioxidant treatment of metal parts: the metal parts of the fountain will be cleaned and undergo an antioxidant treatment to prevent corrosion and preserve their integrity over time;
  • maintenance of the buffer area: maintenance interventions will be performed on the area surrounding the fountain to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of the buffer area;
  • inspection of the water system and waterproofing layer of the basins: a verification will be carried out to ensure the smooth functioning of the jeux d’eau and water flow within the basins. In addition, the condition of the waterproofing layer of the basins will be checked to ensure its integrity and effectiveness.
