The project is aimed at expanding the Muratella kennel through the construction of new buildings to house the doghouses and a public Veterinary Hospital.

The Hospital's premises will be distributed between the first floor of the current central administrative building and the ground floor of the structure behind it, where new surgeries and operating rooms will be created.

To complement these healthcare functions, the renovation and redevelopment of the spaces dedicated to offices, meeting room and visitor reception is planned. In addition, a green area will be set up, where new spaces dedicated to dogs will be created.

Redevelopment of the railway stations of the Rome-Lido line: Porta San Paolo

The intervention involves a redevelopment of two of the main stations of the Rome-Lido railway line. Here is the project in detail:

1. Redevelopment of Ostia Antica station in Rome. The current building will be demolished and rebuilt with enlargements of the volumes, a new building envelope with ventilated walls and new commercial and tourist information spaces with direct access to the cycle and pedestrian path that will connect the station with Viale degli Scavi.

2. Redevelopment of Porta San Paolo station in Rome. The Porta San Paolo station designed by Marcello Piacentini in 1920, the urban terminus of the Rome-Lido railway line, will be redeveloped to offer a more adequate public service in terms of efficiency, comfort and safety. The station, subject to the restrictions of the Superintendence, will undergo a "conservative" intervention that involves:

· the restoration of the plaster and concrete surfaces with painting of all the surfaces of platforms, shelters and environments overlooking the platforms;

· the general renovation of the station shelters and the masonry surfaces of the common areas (excluding the atrium);

· a new waterproofing of the roofs of all buildings and parapets at the beginning and end of the platform;

· the creation of paths for the blind;

· complete replacement of all fixtures in the building.

Interventions aimed at removing architectural barriers on the Rome-Viterbo railway: Piazzale Flaminio

Detailed interventions involve:

1. Redevelopment and elevation of the Flaminio station platform Piazzale Flaminio station is the urban terminus of the regional railway and is located near the Flaminio station of metro Line A. The intervention involves the removal of architectural barriers at the platform level to ensure access for passengers with reduced mobility, as well as a system of ramps and stairs connecting the atrium to the platform.

2. Installation of new elevating systems in the stations of Euclide, Campi Sportivi and Labaro The interventions involve the design, on-site supply and testing of the following elevating systems:

· Euclide station, five stairlifts for wheelchair users;

· Labaro station, two stairlifts for wheelchair users;

· Campi Sportivi station, two elevator systems.

Securing and reconstruction of the property located at Via Bonaventura Cerretti no 40

The project involves the renovation and redevelopment of a property owned by the Civil Protection Department of Roma Capitale. The property is located at Via Bonaventura Cerretti no 40, in a central area of the Municipality XIII, between Via Baldo degli Ubaldi and Viale di Valle Aurelia. Thanks to its strategic position, just two kilometres from the Vatican City, the building is an ideal starting point for Jubilee interventions. The project aims to turn it into a new, logistical base to enable the rapid deployment of vehicles and volunteers.

The property is currently in a dilapidated state, which is why it will first be recovered and secured by demolition and reconstruction.

The contract for the works will be spread over three years, 2024-2025-2026, and divided into two phases:

Securing works (i.e. PHASE I);
Construction of the new building (i.e. PHASE II).

Purchase of special equipment for the emergency hydraulic protection of Roma Capitale

In view of the Jubilee 2025, the hydraulic emergency management system is expected to be upgraded, especially in the Roma Nord area. The equipment of the Civil Protection Department will be enhanced in order to deal with emergency situation in a timely and effective manner.

In particular, dewatering motor pumps, i.e. water pumps, will be purchased to remove and drain large volumes of water and to handle waste water containing solids. In the event of flooding, these means ensure the quick and safe drainage of water.

Here are the details of the vehicles planned for purchase:

1 24,000 l/min water pump;
10 Raptor hydraulic control units, with 3,000 l/min submersible pump;
25 floating motor pumps for road surfaces;
25 electric submerged pumps;
a set of protective barriers and waterproof bag kits.

Roma Capitale – X Municipality

Recovery of the Lutazio Catulo promenade property for the Youth Aggregation Centre ("LAZIOAggrega" regional call)

To actively promote youth policies and create opportunities for aggregation for residents in the area, the Municipality of Rome X participated in the Public Notice "LAZIOAggrega" of the Lazio Region, presenting a project in collaboration with the Ostia CleanUp Association, which was selected as the winner.

Currently, the renovation process of the building intended to house the Youth Aggregation Centre is underway. The structure, previously intended to host offices, will be transformed to offer a space dedicated to the meeting and active participation of young residents in the area.

The project complies with the Municipal Council Directive no. 12/2023.

Redevelopment and redesign of the coastline of Ostia, Parco del mare

The intervention involves the construction of a new park on the coast of Ostia, obtained through the renaturalisation of a long stretch of road along the seafront and the reconstitution of the sea dune, also extended to the existing green areas. The project will provide the opportunity to create new natural spaces for public use in close proximity to the beach, where new activities can be developed. It will also facilitate the relocation of certain activities currently concentrated along the sandy shore, which impede an unobstructed view of the sea.

The primary objective of the intervention is the relaunch of Ostia as a valuable natural resource, ensuring its protection, enhancement and integration into the capital's urban fabric. Rome's view of the Tyrrhenian Sea will be rethought and redeveloped, tightening the link between the Italian capital city and the sea. The planned actions aim to transform the coastal strip of Ostia into a sort of large linear park dedicated to tourism, sport, culture and leisure. The transformation will be accompanied by a sustainable mobility network along the entire coastal strip that will redesign vehicular circulation and parking areas.

New multifunctional space and gateway to Centocelle Park

The intervention is part of a system of actions aimed at increasing the usability and accessibility of the Centocelle Park. The purchase of the Capitoline heritage and the redevelopment of the former AGIP gas station at Via Casilina 890 will provide a new public park entrance at the “Parco di Centocelle” metro station on Line C. The redeveloped building will represent the "Gate of the Park" and, in addition to becoming the main access point to the park from the east, it will also serve as a multifunctional space for the use of citizens. It will house an urban eco-museum for temporary or permanent exhibitions and conferences.

Furthermore, because of the Jubilee, a new entrance to the Park will be established as a hub offering information services and first reception for pilgrims. Additionally, essential primary services will be provided, including first aid, water distribution points and toilets.

Render - via Nomentana - Piazzale di Porta Pia

Restoration of the pavements in Via Nomentana - Piazzale di Porta Pia

The project, which is aimed at redeveloping the Porta Pia area, is divided into two lots:

The first provides for the creation of a new pedestrian crossing in front of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the extension of the cycle path in Via Nomentana, up to the intersection with Viale del Policlinico and the connection with the existing path along the Walls, the redesign of the bus stop on the side of the Ministry, the redevelopment of the pavements in Via Nomentana (up to Via Messina), the closure and covering of the access to the unused pedestrian underpass;
The second, on the other hand, involves the restoration of the large area surrounding the Monument to the Bersagliere, between Via Ancona and Corso d'Italia, with the construction of a pedestrian plaza with a large central flowerbed, partially paved and equipped with street furniture.

Campus Bio-Medico Masterplan One Health - Render 1

Development of the new One Health Masterplan of Campus Bio-Medico

The project involves the construction of the new Masterplan One Health of Campus Bio-Medico in the Trigoria area, in order to meet the growing demand for education and healthcare services in the area.

The winning project of the competition launched by Campus Bio-Medico for the development of the new campus, with a view to continuing the path of regeneration, social, economic and environmental transformation of the suburban area of Trigoria, is the result of the collaboration between Labics and Topotek1 studios, and was also developed after listening to the citizens and the realities of the area. The One Health Masterplan is currently being approved.

The campus will cover an area of about 90 hectares through a system of 7 "multifunctional theme parks", designed to enhance the green areas of the Nature Reserve of Decima-Malafede, in synergy with the new university, healthcare and research facilities.

The planned new departments, which will be integrated into the existing campus, will be divided into 5 thematic macro-areas:

Teaching: university classrooms, teaching workshops, offices, study areas, tutoring areas, relationship spaces, knowledge hubs, etc.;
Research: basic research laboratories, specialised research laboratories, clinical research laboratories, start-up areas, offices, relationship spaces, etc.;
Healthcare: polyclinic expansion, outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals, reception facilities, low-intensity care, nursing homes, relationship spaces, etc.;
Campus life: student residences, sports facilities, cultural and leisure spaces, university chapel, conference hall, civic centre, inclusion and intergenerational dialogue, services, spaces and services for elderly and disabled people, etc.;
Work and innovation: spaces dedicated to work, collaboration, innovation, rectorate, health department, administrative offices, etc.

Campus One Health is a model based on the integration of different disciplines and the recognition that human health, animal health and the health of environmental ecosystems are inextricably linked.

The Masterplan of Campus Bio-Medico will be an open-air laboratory to promote the One Health culture today and in the coming decades, in Italy and in Europe. The guidelines adopted for the design of the Masterplan are flexibility, phased implementation, environmental (one health) and energy sustainability (energy saving, circular economy), enhancement of biodiversity, social inclusion and territorial development from an intergenerational perspective (third mission).
