The eternal city changes forever

Once again, Rome is transformed and reborn. Thanks to an unprecedented investment season, we have the opportunity to implement an incredible regeneration project that will involve several areas of the city.
Our mission is to use these extraordinary resources to create a harmonious development model, to reconstruct a virtuous relationship between urban fabric and people, between city and environment, to mend tears and to enhance the capital's exceptional heritage.

WITHOUT CONSTRUCTION SITES THERE WOULD BE NO INCONVENIENCES TODAY, BUT NEITHER A BETTER FUTURE TOMORROW.

    Extraordinary maintenance of municipal road pavements – Municipality XIII

    In view of the Jubilee 2025, Roma Capitale is organising various maintenance and improvement works on pavements to optimise the pedestrian traffic throughout the city, facilitating the movement of pilgrims and tourists. Each of Rome's 15 municipalities will be responsible for resurfacing local pavements, with a focus on connections between neighbourhoods. A budget of 15 million euro is planned for the work, which will be allocated through a framework agreement to simplify procedures. The interventions will include the redevelopment of existing pavements with furniture elements such as pedestrian barriers or flower boxes, the removal of architectural barriers with the addition of ramps, and the maintenance of sensitive routes.

    Urban regeneration of Via Boncompagni

    The Boncompagni project represents the first intervention of multi-purpose urban regeneration in the heart of the Central Business District of Rome. The activity will include four main elements:

    • a modern office building of approximately 17,000 square metres, situated along Via Boncompagni and Via Romagna, characterised by a contemporary glass façade, a double-height entrance lobby, terraces, and exclusive services and commercial premises;
    • the redevelopment of an existing building of approximately 4,200 square metres, intended for office spaces, with particular attention to the conservation and valorisation of the historical façade along Via Sicilia;
    • a high-standard residential building of approximately 7,500 square metres, located on the corner between Via Boncompagni and Via Puglie;
    • a multifunctional space inside the Church of Saint Lawrence, located on the corner between Via Sicilia and Via Puglie.

    The most iconic building, called the Glass Building, will feature a curved glass façade designed by Mad, which will guarantee abundant natural light and transparency to the premises. The building will be able to accommodate up to 1,600 people in modern and efficient offices, in compliance with the best international sustainability standards.

    The second building, known as the Brick Building, is characterised by a strong historical identity given by the brick façade on Via Sicilia. Despite having smaller dimensions than the Glass Building, its design has achieved the same level of certifications.

    The residential building will host 38 apartments of different types, characterised by a modern and functional design.

    Tender for the construction of photovoltaic systems on the solar roof slabs of educational institutions not affected by the institutional development contract. "G. Moscati" Middle School, via Padre Semeria, 28

    The project involves the construction of an electricity generation plant using photovoltaic technology with Monocrystalline Silicon cells, with a power of 15 kWp, installed on the flat roof of the "G. Moscati" Middle School located in Via Padre Semeria, 28. The main objective is to achieve significant energy savings for the structure, using the sun as a renewable energy source.

    The adoption of this technology is motivated by the need to combine various factors:

    • compatibility with architectural and environmental protection requirements;
    • absence of noise pollution;
    • reduction of fossil fuel consumption;
    • production of electricity without emissions of pollutants.

    The plant, with a nominal capacity of 15 kWp, is able to meet a significant part of the school's energy needs. It has been placed on the roof of the building to maximise sun exposure and ensure optimal efficiency in energy production. High-efficiency photovoltaic panels ensure optimal energy production even in variable sunlight conditions.

    In accordance with the “New Regulations for the Implementation of Energy Communities”, the plant will be integrated into the local energy community, contributing to the production of renewable energy for the entire community. This represents an important step towards promoting renewable energy and environmental sustainability in the surrounding area. As an integral part of the energy community, the plant will play a key role in the efficient and equitable management of energy resources, bringing benefits both economically and environmentally in the long term.

    Redevelopment of public areas and construction of new raised pedestrian crossings near schools: via Giuseppe Belluzzo

    The districts of Magliana, Marconi and Piana del Sole will be the subject of a series of specific and widespread interventions for the redevelopment and safety of public spaces (squares, public green areas and road sections near schools). The goal is to enhance and improve the usability of these places of aggregation within the built fabric.

    Squares and green areas

    The quality of squares and green areas has been improved with new flooring, measures aimed at increasing accessibility, the integration of furnishing elements – including inclusive children’s games –, the planting of trees, the insertion and enhancement of lighting (from a photovoltaic source). The interventions have also made the spaces more recognisable and safe throughout the day. Here are the details of the works:

    • Largo Santa Silvia: repair and extraordinary maintenance of the play equipment present;
    • Piazza Piero Puricelli: new lighting, new games and redevelopment of the Madonnina basement;
    • Piazza Fabrizio De Andrè: new picnic tables;
    • Fausto Catani Garden in via Greve: new trees, removal of barriers, improvement of the access ramp, new pergola and new fitness space;
    • Giardino Lauro Maria Caterina Bassi (via Blaserna): new flooring, basketball court with spaces dedicated to sports in the open area;
    • Green area of Piana del Sole (via Fresonara): construction of a new recreational area;
    • Playground in via Pian due Torri: insertion of new inclusive games and anti-trauma flooring, remaking of the basketball court and perimeter network on the bike path, insertion of new furnishings (baskets and picnic table);
    • Piazza Augusto Righi: reorganization/redesign of paved spaces and flowerbeds with the insertion of spaces for motorbike parking;

    Crossings near schools

    The movement of adults and children at the entrance and exit of schools has been facilitated by the creation of raised pedestrian crossings that ensure absolute priority to pedestrians, eliminating any dangerous conditions with respect to vehicular traffic. Here are the points subject to intervention:

    • Via Blaserna at the Mondo Enchanted infant school;
    • Via Brunacci at the Aquilone blu Nursery;
    • Via Giuseppe Belluzzo at Il Ciclamino Nursery;
    • Via Ignazio Ribotti at the Benucci Infant School;

    Extraordinary maintenance of Piazza Bartolomeo Romano roads and pavements

    The intervention concerned the extraordinary maintenance of Piazza Bartolomeo Romano roads and pavements. The square, which is one of the main hubs of the district, is located in the heart of Garbatella old town centre. It has been redeveloped from an environmental and functional point of view. A roundabout has been built to manage the complex intersection where five road axes converge, and the road pavement has been redone in order to increase the safety of citizens. The construction of the new roundabout has not affected the original road plans and has been designed to avoid interference with the existing pedestrian paths, which provide access to local homes and businesses. In the renovation of the pavements, the existing conditions were taken into account, with particular attention paid to the area in front of the Palladium Theatre, where the same materials were used to maintain the stylistic continuity of the square. The new central island has been built with grey and white concrete blocks, which have also been employed to enclose the shrub-like flowerbeds with lavender and wall germander plants. The outer edge is made of travertine, while in the centre of the roundabout a strawberry tree has been planted.
