Project description

The Innovation Urban Planning has redefined the functionality of public spaces and, simultaneously, implemented a major private intervention designed by "Mario Cucinella Architects". The intervention aims to redevelop the urban area, with special attention to the landscaping of the edges of Via Cristoforo Colombo and the areas connecting with the surrounding neighbourhood. The main goal is to expand this redevelopment to the Plan of Viale Giustiniano Imperatore by reorganising the rest and green areas. This intervention will involve significant simplifications in the local infrastructures, i.e. the reintegration of traffic in Via Cristoforo Colombo towards Viale di Tor Marancia, to allow a full light synchronisation along Via Cristoforo Colombo.

The affected areas will not only benefit from a functional urban redesign, but also from a redevelopment of their public green spaces and urban services, with the aim of increasing the permeability of the area involved and promoting "urban forestation". More specifically, car parks are planned over an area of 39,000 sqm, and green public services over an area of 16,000 sqm. In addition, the cycle paths will be redesigned and new facilities for the neighbourhood created, including a new bowls club, skate park and children's play area. These facilities will be integrated and organised in valuable landscapes, providing comfortable shady spaces.

Lastly, it is planned to relocate the bar kiosk currently located in Piazza Elio Rufino, to create a social context integrated with the square itself, through redevelopment including seats, flowerbeds and potted trees.

Tender for the construction of photovoltaic systems on the solar roof slabs of educational institutions not affected by the institutional development contract. "G. Moscati" Middle School, via Padre Semeria, 28

The project involves the construction of an electricity generation plant using photovoltaic technology with Monocrystalline Silicon cells, with a power of 15 kWp, installed on the flat roof of the "G. Moscati" Middle School located in Via Padre Semeria, 28. The main objective is to achieve significant energy savings for the structure, using the sun as a renewable energy source.

The adoption of this technology is motivated by the need to combine various factors:

compatibility with architectural and environmental protection requirements;
absence of noise pollution;
reduction of fossil fuel consumption;
production of electricity without emissions of pollutants.

The plant, with a nominal capacity of 15 kWp, is able to meet a significant part of the school's energy needs. It has been placed on the roof of the building to maximise sun exposure and ensure optimal efficiency in energy production. High-efficiency photovoltaic panels ensure optimal energy production even in variable sunlight conditions.

In accordance with the “New Regulations for the Implementation of Energy Communities”, the plant will be integrated into the local energy community, contributing to the production of renewable energy for the entire community. This represents an important step towards promoting renewable energy and environmental sustainability in the surrounding area. As an integral part of the energy community, the plant will play a key role in the efficient and equitable management of energy resources, bringing benefits both economically and environmentally in the long term.

INCLUSION

Construction of multi-purpose playing field IC 'De Curtis' complex

The project aims to provide the VI Municipality with areas and spaces dedicated to recreational sports activities in order to promote basic sports and recreational activities.

The project includes the construction of a five-a-side football ground. The ground will be built in accordance with CONI's guidelines for the design of sports facilities. It is intended to separate educational activities from sporting activities by building a fence between the part used for school activities and the part used for recreational sporting activities.

The design of the sports facility is based on distribution criteria that favour functionality and versatility.

Planned activities will include:

The construction of an 18 x 36 metre regulation-sized football pitch;
The installation of a lighting system to enable evening games to be played on the five-a-side pitch;
The construction of a plastic-coated metal mesh fence up to 6 metres high.

In order to carry out this project, a plan has been drawn up for the construction of a multi-purpose playing field at the IC "De Curtis" school complex, located at Via della Tenuta di Torrenova 130.

Extraordinary maintenance works - VI Municipality

The main objective of the activities is to improve the road system within the municipal jurisdiction through a series of works designed to ensure the safety and functionality of the roads. In addition, measures will be taken to create safe and secure pavements and pedestrian paths, as well as for the maintenance of rainwater collection systems.

The interventions will include:

Removal of the outcropping roots to ensure the stability of the soils;
Replacement of the road surface in the case of deteriorated asphalt;
Regulation of road access to optimise traffic flow;
Renovation of parking areas to improve the availability of spaces;
Renewal of the horizontal and vertical road signs for greater clarity and to improve road safety;
Installation of urban amenities such as seating and shaded areas to improve the quality of public spaces;
Routine and extraordinary maintenance of surface water drains and control of clear water drainage systems.

Extraordinary maintenance of the municipal headquarters in Via Benedetto Croce

In order to improve the reception at the headquarters of the VIII Municipality located in Via Benedetto Croce, 50, extraordinary maintenance works are planned. In particular, works will involve the roof, making part of it usable. Inside the building, the focus will be on the toilets block on the ground floor, with targeted interventions to improve accessibility and changes to the internal distribution both at the structural and system level. In addition, part of the internal offices will be reorganised to optimise spaces and adapt them to new administrative needs.

INCLUSION

Construction of an outdoor multi-purpose sports field for the C. Battisti school

The objective of the project is to strengthen the educational offer of the primary school located in Piazza Damiano Sauli, 1, an integral part of the Damiano Sauli Comprehensive Institute. A multi-purpose sports field will be created in the outdoor area of the building, which will include spaces for basketball and volleyball, replacing the current basketball court. The intervention is aimed at enriching the school's training offer, simultaneously creating a new point of aggregation for students and, potentially, for the local community. Given the high population density and urbanisation of the area, the sports field could represent an important resource for the entire neighbourhood.

Construction of an outdoor multi-purpose sports field for the school in Via A. Severo, 208

In order to enhance the educational offer of the lower secondary school located in Via Alessandro Severo, 208, an integral part of the Comprehensive Institute of Via Salvatore Pincherle, a multi-purpose sports field will be created in the external area of the school.

The structure will include spaces for basketball and volleyball. The intervention aims to create a multi-purpose field that not only enriches the school's educational offer, but also becomes a point of aggregation for students and, potentially, for the local community. Considering that the surrounding area is densely urbanised and characterised by a high concentration of housing, the sports field could represent an important resource for the entire neighbourhood.

Youth aggregation centre at Eredità Gargiulo

The farmhouse was selected as the home for the Youth Aggregation Centre, following the choice of the Association with which to collaborate for its co-design.

To start the services, it was necessary to carry out routine maintenance of the systems and improvement of the outdoor spaces. These interventions include the installation of benches, gazebos, and the maintenance of the green area and adjacent walkable areas. The interventions to improve the outdoor spaces will be carried out synergistically with the available resources, taking into account the costs related to other interventions and collaborating with local organisations that deal with the decorum and care of common assets.

The funding to activate the service comes from the Public Notice of the Lazio Region "Promotion and coordination of policies in favour of young people", to which the Municipality has been admitted.

The Youth Aggregation Centre will be open to the public for 12 months, from Monday to Friday, for ordinary activities and occasionally on Saturdays for events open to the community. In the initial phase, it is expected to be open at least 26 hours a week, mainly in the afternoons from Monday to Friday and for a few hours in the morning two days a week. The morning activities will be mainly aimed at young adults, while the afternoon will be dedicated to those under 19.

The objective is to increase the opening hours in collaboration with the association network that will use the space for its own activities and projects. The activities will develop interventions in the following areas:

Extraordinary Maintenance in via Federico Borromeo

A significant intervention was carried out along a fundamental stretch of the Primavalle district. The road pavement has been completely renovated, intervening from the bottom layer to the wear surface with excavations up to 40 cm of depth. In addition, the pavements were redeveloped, eliminating architectural barriers and improving the waterproofing of the ground through the installation of new bricks. In addition, the gutters for draining rainwater have been restored, in order to minimise the inconvenience caused by flooding.

A new public park has been created, characterised by the creation of an inclusive play area. The latter includes a castle equipped with a balance bridge and slide, two swings, a cast rubber anti-trauma mat, balance games, flowerbeds with fragrant essences and the planting of new trees.
