Archaeological Monumental Site (CARME) - Via dei Fori Imperiali area: enhancing the urban image of the archaeological ring

Implementing party

Roma Capitale

Project description

The project anticipates the completion and enhancement of the redevelopment of Via dei Fori Imperiali by means of illustrative apparatuses, furnishings and works of art. The objective is to increase the use of services and accessibility to the monumental archaeological areas, as envisaged by the "International Design Competition for the Redevelopment of the Via dei Fori Imperiali Area" and related interventions.

The project will contribute to the definition of a unified and identity-based image of the area along the pedestrian route of the so-called "archaeological ring".

It envisages the design and realisation of: illustrative panels, also through technological devices; elements of street furniture such as litter bins, benches, planters; the inclusion of site-specific contemporary works of art; the availability of equipment for the organisation of events and temporary exhibitions.
