Caput Mundi: Restoration of Fontana della Cascata and Fontana del Giglio in Villa Doria Pamphilj

The Fontana della Cascata is in a poor state of conservation due to widespread degradation.The restoration activities will focus on the following aspects:
- elimination of invasive weeds;
- surfaces and basin cleaning;
- restoration of the water system with jeux d'eau;
- lighting enhancement.
The Fontana del Giglio needs an intervention to remove the limestone concretions from the heraldic fleur-de-lis and the side basins. The semicircular seat around the fountain has several problems.The restoration activities will focus on the following aspects:
- cleaning of the stone surfaces;
- reinforcement of the foundation kerb of the semicircular seat;
- seat verticalisation;
- lighting enhancement.
