Study Room at the Euclide Centre

Implementing party

Roma Capitale

Project description

The Institution for a System of Cultural Centre Libraries has created a new study room with 60 stations inside the Euclide Centre, in the Municipality XV.

Thanks to the cooperation of the Municipality, the Euclide company has accepted the proposal of Roma Capitale to create a public space for study and reading in the shopping centre, offering a 250 square metre room on free loan to Biblioteche di Roma. Inaugurated in the 1970s, the Euclide Centre has always been a reference point for families and a place to spend free time for the inhabitants of the northern area of Rome.

Users can take advantage of the large reading room equipped with more than 60 stations, with charging points for laptops, sofas with soundproof backrest and WIFI. The new cultural centre offers an assortment of books (about 1,600 titles) available for loan, a station for consulting the online catalogue, the PIM service (interlibrary loan service that allows you to book online and receive all the titles in the catalogue of Biblioteche di Roma).

The space, equipped with an LED lighting system, houses works by the American photographer Brendan Pattengale, an expert in the exploration of photographic methods and colour perception, who takes up the tradition of landscape photography with an experimental spirit.

All information about the opening hours of the space can be easily found on the portal of Biblioteche di Roma: https://www.bibliotechediroma.it.
