Digital Facilitation Service Network: Marcello Mastroianni School District
Implementing party
Project description
Thanks to the resources of the NRRP, Roma Capitale has created and implemented 25 Digital Facilitation Centres throughout the municipality.
In the digital age, it has become essential to know and take advantage of the most common technologies, but not everyone is yet able to use them in complete autonomy. For this reason, the digital facilitation centres have been created to help all segments of citizenship to achieve the following objectives:
- Promote the autonomous, conscious and responsible use of new technologies;
- Promote the right to active digital citizenship for all and combat the digital divide;
- Encourage the use of online services by individuals and Public Administrations and simplify the relationship between citizens and Public Administration.
Each centre has a Digital Facilitator who is responsible for assisting users, identifying the needs in the use of digital services and the Internet in general, providing support, guidance and personalised assistance, and promoting the safe and conscious use of the Internet, email, applications and public digital services. Micro-training courses are also active, both in person and through online channels, in order to reach as many users as possible.
There are currently 25 active centres, but work is in progress to almost double their number in the coming months.
