Intervention for the construction of a canteen to serve the San Nicola preschool and primary school - Municipality of Rome XIV

Implementing party

Roma Capitale

Project description

The intervention concerns the construction of a canteen to serve the “San Nicola II” preschool and primary school in Via Ceva 244. The building, of fairly recent construction, is designed with a mixed reinforced concrete structure, roofing of the classrooms and common rooms in curved glued laminated timber beams and a wooden roof above.
The school houses classrooms, in addition to the office and service areas, but is not equipped with suitable premises for learners to eat meals, who must also use the classrooms during the lunch break.
The venue will be built in the school's exclusive outdoor location and will have a total area of 150 square metres. The connection between the room and the school building will be provided by a protected walkway, also accessible to disabled users. The typology of the new building will be similar to that of the main building.
