Project description
The redevelopment project of the entire playground, including the skate park, was carried out to offer a completely renovated and free-entry sports area, accessible to athletes and enthusiasts from every part of the world. This space comprises a basketball court, a multi-purpose three-a-side football pitch and an area equipped with digital fitness machines for outdoor sports activities.
The playground hosted the WST - Rome Street 2023 skateboarding event, which took place between 18 and 25 June. The tournament involved the best skaters in the world, representing a key stage in the qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
The main aim of the activities was to provide a cutting-edge structure to practice various sports disciplines, encouraging participation of athletes from all over the world. The redevelopment improved the quality and usability of the playground, turning it into a site of excellence for international events and daily training of local and global sportspeople.
