15 Minutes Programme – II Municipality Flaminio

Implementing party

Roma Capitale

Project description

The Olympic Village is located in the northern part of the II Municipality of Rome, delimited to the north by the Lungotevere, to the west by Viale Tiziano, to the south by the Guido Reni - De Coubertin cultural axis and to the east by the orographic relief of the parco Villa Glori. This quadrant houses important urban projects such as the Maxxi, the Auditorium and the new Science Museum.

The intervention in question will relate to the redevelopment of the public space that connects the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone with the Palazzetto dello Sport, turning the area into a single square for the benefit of the neighbourhood. The activities will focus on the connections between green areas and public spaces, enhancing the sub viaduct and proposing a general redesign of the area.

The first intervention that will be carried out will concern the area between Via Nedo Nadi and Via Pietro de Coubertin.
