15 Minutes Programme – XV Municipality Labaro

Implementing party

Roma Capitale

Project description

The district of Labaro is located in the northern quadrant of Rome, within the area of the XV Municipality, near the Grande Raccordo Anulare. Located along the Via Flaminia, an ancient Roman road, the town stands on a hill called Colle di Labaro and is surrounded by the Parco di Veio and Parco Tevere Nord nature reserves.

The district, which has a good identity and a strong social cohesion, has some services distributed over the whole territory, but also many parts that are not well designed and congested by traffic. The project activities focused on public areas, highlighting the need to reconvert some of the areas adjacent to Via Gemona del Friuli, which will transform from a transit road to an urban boulevard. In this way, it will be possible to implement bicycle and pedestrian mobility, linking the various services present in the area.

The first planned intervention is related to the redevelopment of Via Monti della Valchetta, near the Labaro fountain.
