Project description
In order to improve the customer experience for users of surface public transportation near Vatican City, the basilicas, the venues for jubilee events, and sites of tourist interest, the current plan of 840 stops will be updated. The new facilities will provide information on real-time arrivals and proximity services, infomobility updates, and other utilities (wi-fi, charging, etc.).
In detail, the following will be purchased:
- 435 smart shelters with bus arrival times (of which at least 20 will have digital panels and interactive touchscreens);
- estimated average unit cost €85,000 + VAT (including installation and connection);
- 405 electronic poles with real-time waiting times; estimated average unit cost €30,000 + VAT (including installation and connection).
