The intervention involves the dredging of the ditch of Prima Porta, a channel that flows into the Tiber. To prevent the flooding of the ditch from affecting the inhabited centre, embankments have been built on the sides of the waterway to contain floodwaters, keeping them at a safe distance from settlements and urban activities. However, materials and debris constantly accumulate within the flow section. The intervention aims to completely clean the drainage section of the watercourse to maintain the efficiency of this hydraulic defense and prevent the risk of flooding in the inhabited area of Prima Porta.
