The redevelopment project involved extraordinary maintenance interventions of approximately 9 kilometres of road. The main activities involved a complete road platform resurfacing to ensure  solidity and safety. In addition, the following works were carried out: restoration of the protective barriers along the route; cleansing and verification of the hydraulic functionality of the rainwater disposal network through the gutters; refurbishment of vertical and horizontal signs to improve the visibility and orientation of drivers; mowing and cleaning of areas adjacent to the road. 

In addition, the pedestrian path has been secured in the portion prior to number 701, which corresponds to the entrance of the IT and Telecommunications Centre of the Navy, in order to guarantee the safety of pedestrians.
