Redevelopment of green spaces, Progetto Verde 15 – Via dei Chiaramonti
Implementing party
Roma Capitale – XI Municipality
Project description
The project involves the redevelopment of twelve green areas within Municipality XI, an intervention that is part of Progetto Verde 15, "15-minute city".
In addition to single redevelopment plans, standard project modules have been identified for recurring interventions in green spaces (play areas, outdoor educational spaces, fitness and sports areas, dog parks, etc.).
Overall, the program aims to enhance the quality of life in a densely populated area by making public green spaces more accessible and well-equipped, turning them into genuine urban gathering places.
Here are the areas that will be redeveloped, divided by municipal quadrants:
- For the Monte delle Capre/via Ressi/via delle Vigne quadrant: area of Via delle Vigne "ex Monte Cervino";
- For Corviale/Casetta Mattei: areas of Via Vela, Via dei Chiaramonti, Via dei Candiano and Via dei Tani;
- For the Trullo: area of Via Ventimiglia;
- For the Petrelli Village: area of largo Giuseppe Petrelli,
- For Magliana/Pian due Torri: areas of Largo Castiglion Fibocchi and Riva Pian due Torri/Vicolo Pian Due Torri,
- For Portuense: area of Via degli Irlandesi;
- For Marconi: areas of Piazza Meucci and Lungotevere Gassman.
All projects will include:
- Renaturalisation and reduction/elimination of impermeable soil
- Increase in the number of trees;
- Increased accessibility and inclusiveness;
- Optimization of rest/recreation areas and pathways;
- Provision of a standardized base for interchangeable activities based on needs: rest, sports, and play.
