The pedestrian route, which connects San Pietro Railway Station to St Peter's Basilica, extends through the "Passeggiata del Gelsomino" arriving in Piazza del Sant'Uffizio via Via della Stazione Vaticana and Via di Porta Cavalleggeri. Considering the length of approximately 1 km, an easy and pleasant route will be created for pilgrims. Activities will include:

• accessibility improvements;
• widening of the pavement along Via della Stazione Vaticana;
• paving of the connection between the "Passeggiata del Gelsomino" and the pavement along the Vatican Walls;
• installation of bollards at the steps (Rampa Aurelia);
• reconstruction of the road surface;
• arrangement of the parking area;
• restoration of sampietrino pavements;
• tree root treatment;
• improvement of the green area along the Vatican Walls on Via di Porta Cavalleggeri;
• restoration of the pavements up to Piazza del Sant'Uffizio.

Working site considered partially closed and operating at the beginning of the Jubilee Year.
