Redevelopment of the pedestrian paths Via Ottaviano/St Peter
Implementing party
Project description
The Jubilee intervention concerning Via Ottaviano and Piazza Risorgimento aims to create a safe and easy pedestrian route between the Metro A station "Ottaviano" and St Peter's Square to facilitate pilgrims. Via Ottaviano, approximately 285 m long, will be upgraded by widening the pavements at the expense of the roadway. The new pavements will be approximately 5.50 m wide and will be finished with basalt slabs. The work will also include new street lighting systems, improvements to the rainwater drainage system and resurfacing of the bituminous conglomerate road.
Working site considered partially closed and operating at the beginning of the Jubilee Year.
