Project description
The project involves the construction of the New Tuscolano I Market on a plateau equipped to replace the current market located in Via Orvieto. The new market will occupy approximately the same area as the existing one, but will be realised in two distinct sections, separated by an area available to the citizens of the neighbourhood, as described here:
- From the intersection with Via Taranto to the intersection with Via Terni: plateau equipped with sales booths, toilets and technical rooms;
- From the intersection with Via Terni to the intersection with Via La Spezia: "market islands" area formed by commercial booths;
- Between Via Terni and Via Orvieto: area available to the public with a pedestrian area.
The works include:
- Demolition of the existing structures;
- Construction of a reinforced concrete platform to support the new market, including flooring;
- Realisation of 46 booths for commercial activities, of which 34 in the equipped plateau and 12 in the "market islands" area;
- Construction of a structure for public toilets for men, women and people with disabilities;
- Creation of a lightweight cover to protect the pedestrian paths of market customers;
- Construction of special technical systems (electricity, water, sewerage, photovoltaic, data transmission and WI-FI, etc.);
- Creation of relaxation and rest areas within the market;
- Landscaping of the green area with new plantings;
The project will make the market and its surroundings accessible to the citizens of the area.
