Project description
The intervention is aimed at constructing a new "Giardino di Roma" stop located on Via di Malafede, between Via Cristoforo Colombo and Via Ostiense. Its realisation will allow inhabitants to reach the Capital, the coast, and other exchange points. The new stop along the Rome-Lido line will be made in a protected location, without level crossings. Platforms will allow floor-level access with a railway-type clearance gauge width of 3,150 mm. The stop will consist of two buildings arranged longitudinally to the existing tracks. A connection between the two buildings will be created with the construction of an overpass located about 7 m from the rail level. The design of the new station, submitted to the Service Conference in 2013, will need to be reviewed again and will include the construction of ancillary works for station accessibility.
