Roma Capitale's metro lines A and B-B1 have been upgraded thanks to the purchase of 30 new trains, 23 of which have been added to line B-B1 and 7 of which have been assigned to line A. The new supply aims to renew the existing fleet and increase train availability.
The new Jubilee loan will facilitate the purchase of 6 additional trains, enabling the co-financing of the full 36-train purchase through an extension of the existing Framework Agreement. The first train will be delivered by the supplier in the first quarter of 2025 and, from October 2025, the supply will settle at a frequency of 2 trains per month. The entire supply of 36 trains will be completed in Q2 2027.
