Upgrading and securing sidewalks and pedestrian paths: Via Nola
Implementing party
Project description
During the first two years of the new administration, a campaign of interventions aimed at improving the quality of sidewalks and ensuring the safety of pedestrian paths within the municipality was initiated.
During this two-year period, interventions focused on upgrading the sidewalks of the following streets:
- Via Trionfale, in the section between San Filippo Neri and the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA), completing an intervention initiated by the previous administration;
- Via di Torrevecchia, also the subject of a completion of a project initiated by the previous Council;
- Via di San Tarcisio;
- Viale Castrense;
- Via Nola;
- Viale Angelico.
- Via Cassia, both between Ponte Milvio and Via Oriolo Romano, and between Via Piccinini and the GRA;
- Via Tiburtina, between Via di Grotta Gregna and Via dei Monti Tiburtini;
- Viale del Tintoretto;
- Viale Isacco Newton;
- Lungotevere Maresciallo Diaz, in the section between Ponte Duca D'Aosta and Ponte Milvio.
In addition, a protected pedestrian path was created in front of the Santa Rosa Carabinieri Barracks on Via de la Storta.
These interventions also included the removal of architectural barriers and the restoration of tree-lined areas, with special attention to tree roots, thus contributing to the improved usability and safety of the pedestrian spaces involved.
