The project involves the redevelopment of the Valentina Caruso Sports Facility with the recovery of the structure, abandoned since 2018, and the return of a state-of-the-art facility in terms of energy efficiency to the citizens through the use of technologies, renewable sources and environmentally friendly materials.
The redevelopment of the facility will enhance the provision of sports and social inclusion services in an area on the eastern outskirts of Rome where there is a shortage of facilities. Renovation of the existing buildings and artefacts will be planned, as well as the renovation of outdoor sports areas, with the renovation of the neighbouring park through equipped paths. The sport activities that can be practised will be five-a-side football, basketball, handball, volleyball, tennis, padel, as well as crossfit, fitness and parkour in the public park. The project is drawn up with sustainability and energy efficiency objectives in mind.
